Since everyone keeps asking - it says "tie me to the bedpost".

From Malissa: Nick, Joe, Kevin Sr, Denise & Maya were shopping around NorthPark Center in Dallas, TX on Wednesday. They went into a lot of stores including Cartier, Louis Vuitton, Ralph Lauren, Gamestop and The Finish Line. After the mall, Nick drove Joe & Maya to Guitar Center.
Nick showed the true meaning of Christmas when he purchased an electric guitar, gig bag & amp for a kid inside the store. I told Nick how amazing he was for doing that for some random kid. What an awesome Christmas present for just being at the right place at the right time!

| Family and Friends Gathering for Brittany's Funeral |
[Dec. 24th, 2009|07:23 pm] |
|

Here's hoping Brittany Murphy will soon be resting in peace. Family members and a few close friends have started arriving at Los Angeles' Forest Lawn Memorial Park to say goodbye to the actress, who died last Sunday at 32.
Among those expected to attend are her husband, Simon Monjack, and mother, Sharon, as well as director Penny Marshall and longtime friend Eric Balfour. The 24 star, who once even performed in a band with Murphy, is also listed as one of the pallbearers for the intimate, invitation-only service, to take place at the cemetery's Church of the Hills. ( While the funeral will be a private affair, the family does have plans for another remembrance. )source
Man, this is so sad. My thoughts are with her family - what a horrible thing to have to go through on Christmas Eve. Rest in peace, Brittany. |

| Steve Harvey Blames Black Men for Misogyny, Not Hip Hop |
[Dec. 24th, 2009|05:01 pm] |
“All Hip Hop did was start reporting the news and the news just happened to be bad.”
There has been debate within the African-American community to figure out exactly what happened in the relations between Black men and Black women and why females are depicted and treated so negatively.
The finger of blame has been pointed directly at Hip Hop as the culprit of the images displayed on television and the lyrics rapped on records. This only feeds into the minds of the consumer and force feeds them into believing that this is how women are meant to be treated.
That is, however, only one side of the coin and only one perception being displayed.
Blame is placed on other outlets in order to relieve the strain from the image that are reflected in the mirror. Men didn't just start degrading women in Hip Hop, it started way before then and just happened to transition to it.

My Chemical Romance explain how Blade Runner, Judas Priest and a car inspired new album
Group have channelled 1980s for their next record

My Chemical Romance have revealed more details about their forthcoming fourth album.
Frontman Gerard Way said the follow-up to their 2006 concept album 'The Black Parade' has been influenced by muscle cars, the film Blade Runner and Judas Priest.
"The fact there's a song now tentatively titled 'Trans-Am' is a bold thing for this band to do as opposed to our previous material," Gerard Way told SpinnerMusic.co.uk. "There's something in that phrase that's obviously more than the car. But to bring something like old '70s muscle car culture into the music, that's kind of a different move."
Earlier in the year Way used Twitter to purchase a Trans Am car explaining that it was research for the album.
As previously reported, My Chemical Romance had revealed that the record was being influenced by MC5 and The Stooges, but Way explained how the 1980s have also influenced the album.
Talking about one of their new songs, 'Death Before Disco', Way admitted that the music of Judas Priest had shaped the album.
"That song actually reminded me in an odd way of all the best stuff of '80s what is called cock rock, but not all of it was," Way explained. "Judas Priest is considered metal, but it's great rock'n'roll. It's having nothing to do with that era of metal, the hair rock, but then having everything to do with like the birth of power-anthem metal. After 'Trans Am' that started to really bleed into the record."
As well as music and wheels, the frontman added that the 1982 film Blade Runner had played a part in the recording sessions.
"I watched a lot of Blade Runner and I watched a lot of the Making Of Blade Runner, [director] Ridley Scott was really inspiring too, just kind of his unwillingness to put the camera down and really capture something special," he said. "People were upset by that, but he was very strong in his vision and I think the band was very strong in its vision this time. That's why the record took - instead of a month and a half to do - four months to track because our barometer for great was very high."
Their fourth LP, which was recorded in Los Angeles with Bruce Springsteen producer Brendan O'Brien, is due in spring 2010.

| True Blood Season 3 Clip |
[Dec. 24th, 2009|06:33 pm] |
This is an extremely short clip, but even so, it sure wets the appetite. From the HBO 2009 promo and what is to come for 2010. You see a quick clip of Sookie running out of the French Restaurant and then you see Bill shirtless with a bloody cut on his arm.

Apparently, there are more TB scenes in the 2010 HBO promo, so I'm sure another few clips will leak. |

James Cameron in Major A-Hole Dispute?? Posted Dec 24th 2009 12:35PM by TMZ Staff
James Cameron -- the guy who directed "Avatar" -- directed a few choice words at an autograph seeking fan last night -- calling the guy a "f**king a**hole" during an argument over a signature.
It all went down at LAX -- when James walked past a man holding an "Avatar" poster, and refused to sign. The man went back to Cameron and asked again to which James replied, "I don't owe you a f**king signature ... just get out of my f**king personal space."
That's when the fan lost it and replied, "I'm an asshole because I ask someone I admire for their autograph that makes me an a**hole? I make $15-an-hour at work to go see your film and I'm an a**hole?"
Ultimately, James calmly walked away from the situation while the fan continued to yell at him.
cant embed the damn video! See it at the SOUUURCE
What a doushe, other than that no comment. You at least could be nice to the guy. Although the fan didnt handle it well either. sigh.

| Roger Ebert's Review of Nine - 2 Stars |
[Dec. 24th, 2009|03:23 pm] |

My problem may be that I know Fellini's "8½" (1963) too well. Your problem may be that you don't know it well enough. Both of us may be asking, who exactly was "Nine" made for? This is a big-scale version of the 1982 Broadway production, which won the Tony Award as best musical. It's likely that most who saw it had either seen the Fellini film, or made that their business.
I didn't see it, but I'm sure it greatly benefitted from being live and right there onstage, where the energy in performance compensated for its lack of a single great song. All the songs sound exactly like standard boilerplate Broadway show tunes, except for composer Maury Yestin's "Finale," which evokes the original Nino Rota soundtrack for Fellini, which is the problem.

| It's just like Entourage if it was about hipsters living in Brooklyn trying to make it in fashion. |
[Dec. 24th, 2009|05:14 pm] |

If Kid Cudi's rapping career ever stalls, he can always work on his budding acting resume. After getting the axe from Lady Gaga's current tour and mistakenly handcuffed by Los Angeles police within the last week alone, on a more positive note, a trailer for the Ohio native's new show 'How to Make It in America,' has just been released. Although the snippet fails to show off Cudi's acting chops, perhaps the folks over at HBO wanted to build anticipation for the series, which will air on the cable network next year.
The show, which is produced by actor Mark Wahlberg, centers around young aspiring entrepreneurs living in Brooklyn and trying to break into the fashion industry to ultimately achieve the American Dream. Cudi plays the supporting roll of Domingo, a well-connected friend of the two main characters. 'How to Make It in America' is set to air February 2010.
The series will also star comedian Luis Guzmán and Eddie Kaye Thomas of American Pie fame. How To Make It In America is set to debut February 16th, 2010.

This looks like something I would have thrown together in my intro production class, but Marky Mark has yet to let me down so I might have to give this a chance. It doesn't hurt that my bb is in it, too. |

Joe McElderry is outselling X Factor mentor Cheryl Cole Her second solo single, 3 Words, is expected to limp into the charts at No 8 after selling just 8,808 copies on Monday, reports The Sun.
Her debut single Fight For This Love became one of the biggest selling singles of the year after selling over 290,000 copies in its first week. The track 3Words was released a week after Joe's single The Climb so that Cheryl would have a better chance at bagging the top spot.
But McElderry who lost out the coveted Christmas No 1 to Rage Against The Machine, is back on track to top the charts this weekend. The Climb is now outselling RATM's Killing In The Name by two to one, selling 77,329 copies, according to early sales figures.
RATM sold 39,030 which should see them chart at No 2.
The American band set two new records with their chart win last week - for the first single to reach Christmas No 1 from purely download sales, and for the fastest selling download single ever.
They sold just over 500,000 copies last week after a Facebook campaign set up by Jon and Tracy Mortner, who were sick of X Factor winners dominating the Christmas charts.
